1 Thessalonians: Life in Light of the End
The apostle Paul wrote a letter to the church in Thessalonica with one, deeply held conviction: Jesus is coming back. For Paul, that belief wasn’t just a theological concept—it shaped everything. Their commitment to discipleship. Their sexuality. Their courage in suffering. Their work ethic. Their love for one another. Nearly every encouragement Paul gives in this letter is framed by this simple reality: the story of the world isn’t over, and the return of Christ is closer than we think.
In this series, we’ll walk through Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians and discover what it looks like to live today with the return of Jesus in view. Along the way we’ll explore how the promise of Jesus’ return reshapes our priorities, strengthens us in difficulty, deepens our care for one another, and fills ordinary life with lasting significance.
Because when you truly believe that Jesus is coming back, it doesn’t lead to speculation or conspiracy—it leads to living a different kind of life.
