City Kids is our ministry for children six weeks old through fifth grade and their parents. During our Gatherings, your kids will be supervised and taught about Jesus in an age-appropriate way.

City Kids exists to teach kids that Jesus is the hero we all need. We want to lay a foundation of the good news of Jesus for families to build on back at home. City Kids is staffed with experienced City Kids volunteers who will make sure your kid is safe, has a great time, and learns about Jesus. Our City Kids areas are secured to ensure your child is safe during the Gathering.

We hope this will allow you to focus during our Gatherings, knowing your child is hearing about Jesus in a kid-friendly manner.

If you plan to check your child into City Kids this Sunday, we recommend pre-registering here to save time during check-in.

Upon approaching our facilities, navigate towards the marked Parenting Parking Only in our Atchley Street lot, to the left of the building. Then, use the side entrance on that side of the building near the blue City Kids flag. City Kids personnel will be waiting inside the entrance to guide you through the check-in process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring for my child?

Depending on the age of your child, be sure to bring diapers, pacifiers, a change of clothes, and a bottle of milk, formula, juice, or water. To help us keep track of your items, please label all personal items with your child's first and last names before arriving.

What happens when I arrive?

Upon approaching our building, look for the large City Kids signage at the left side entrance. Check in just inside that entrance, at the top of the short flight of stairs. There, a volunteer will be waiting to introduce themselves and walk you through our check-in process.

How can I know my child is safe?

Safety is a top priority for us at City Kids. The Atchley Street entrance to City Kids and each individual City Kids room is locked once the Gathering starts. Children in City Kids also use children-specific restrooms that are not shared with the rest of Gathering attendees.

We want you to be able to enjoy the Gathering knowing that your child is safe and secure in our space.

Who will be taking care of my child?

City Kids is run by volunteers committed to having fun, helping your child grow, and teaching them about Jesus. Each volunteer has undergone a thorough federal background check prior to becoming a City Kids volunteer.

We know that entrusting the care of your child to others is a big deal. So we’ve taken the time below to answer some of the more common questions people have about City Kids.

What should I do if my child has food allergies?

When checking your child in, just let us know about any allergies. We'll add it to our system so that we have it on file for this time and any times in the future.

What kind of activities will my child be participating in?

City Kids will provide age-appropriate activities for all children. For newborns and small children, they'll be cared for and prayed over by a City Kids volunteer. Lessons for older kids are reinforced by play and activities designed with the ability and age of the child in mind.

Can I volunteer with City Kids?

We are always looking for more capable, passionate volunteers to join our City Kids team. Please know that all City Kids volunteers undergo a federal background check before serving as a volunteer. To apply to become a City Kids volunteer, visit our serve page.
