Embodied: Connecting Our Spirituality to Our Physicality

The Christian faith is not just something we believe. It’s something we live out—in real bodies, in a real world. From the opening pages of Scripture to the promise of new creation, God’s story is unmistakably physical.

In this teaching series, we explore what it means to follow Jesus as embodied people. Rather than treating our bodies or the material world as secondary—or even as obstacles to spiritual life—we’ll see how Scripture presents them as essential to following Jesus. Together, we’ll reflect on how God invites us to think well about our bodies, our gender, creation, and the hope of resurrection.

As we trace these themes through the biblical storyline, we’ll discover that the way we inhabit our bodies shapes how we pray, live, work, and hope. And how God teaches us to embrace a holistic vision of life with him—one where spirituality and physicality are not rivals, but gifts meant to be received and stewarded in light of Jesus and the coming new creation.
