Year of Discipleship: Helping Others Become More Like Jesus
A church is only as good as its disciples. Before he ascended into heaven, after his resurrection, Jesus gave his disciples one overarching task: go and make more disciples.
In Jesus’ vernacular, this is a way of instructing those who follow him to spend concentrated, vested effort helping others become more like Jesus. Discipleship is taking spiritual responsibility for another person’s spiritual maturity. And it is the primary way Jesus wants his people to spend their time, until he returns.
This series takes six weeks to explore Jesus’ invitation to make disciples, and walk through the various components of how it happens.
