Matthew: The Death & Life of a King (Ch. 26-28)

Series Description

All good stories must come to an end–even the true story of Jesus’ earthly life and ministry. In the final three chapters of Matthew’s gospel, Jesus is anointed for burial, betrayed by friends, arrested by authorities, and ultimately crucified on a Roman cross.

Through all of it, we see Jesus’ commitment to his mission, love and compassion for his friends, and complete submission to the Father’s plan, no matter the cost. As we witness the gruesome death of Jesus, we see an unflinching commitment to do whatever it takes to seek and to save those who are lost. And then, just when you thought the story was over, we arrive at an unexpected ending: resurrection.

This series takes twelve weeks to explore chapters 26-28 of the gospel of Matthew.
