21 Days of Prayer

As we approach the 10 Year Anniversary, we’re taking time to pray together about the next 10 years of our church.

21 Days of Prayer

For almost a decade, God has been faithful to form this community into a place where people can belong, encounter Jesus and be known. As we look ahead, we don’t want to be driven by urgency, pressure, or ambition — but, instead, by prayer.

From June 28-July 11, we’re inviting our whole church into 21 Days of Prayer as we ask God to give us clarity for the future of City Church. Specifically, we’re praying about whether God is calling us to remain in our current space or whether he is preparing a new building that can support the growth we’re experiencing and create room for the people he’s continuing to bring.

One Simple Prayer

For 21 days, we’ll pray one simple prayer together:

God, give us the clarity to stay where you are calling us to stay, and the courage to move if you are calling us to move. If you are preparing a new place for the next season of our church, we ask you to provide it in a way that only you can.

We believe the future of our church belongs to God.

So before we make plans, we pray. Before we take steps, we listen. And before we ask what’s possible, we ask what He is inviting us into.

What Are We Hoping For?

As we pray about a new building, we thought it would be helpful to include the minimum new property requirements:

  • 6+ acres for land and building

  • potential for up to 500 parking spaces

  • building area of 75,000+ square feet

  • within 2 miles of downtown

For reference, these numbers are roughly a 50% increase on what we have available to us.

As you pray, if God brings anything to mind — a sense of direction, an encouragement, or a specific building or property we should be aware of — we would love to hear about it! This is not a commitment or a decision, it’s simply one way we can listen together as a church and prayerfully consider what God may be revealing.
